WW - Zenith Special Pilot's watch, manual wind, 40mm x 50mm to lug tips, 22mm fixed lug width, original nickel screwed back case with screw bezel and bi-directional timing arrow as well as an inner glass observation back, brown leather NATO strap, original black enamel dial with white Arabic numerals, appears to be 15J, s#2966568, triple signed. A highly unusual and early pilot's watch with an excellent look and a size perfectly suited to today's collectors.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, several fine scratches to plates; nearly flawless dial with edge chips at 6 and 9 which are hidden under the bezel; excellent relumed blued steel skeleton hands; polished case shows light wear, case back knurls have seen better days with some being crisp and others being worn completely smooth, light dings on case back and sides as well as dents and mars on wire lugs; crown is worn to brass; good plastic crystal.
